Meet Knowie

We built Knowie around how students actually think. Not the way they were told to learn.

Every day, Knowie helps students across 30 countries, every grade, every curriculum. They talk to it, upload notes, answer quizzes, sit mock exams, and show us, one tap at a time, which explanation finally made it click.

So we don't just know that fractions are hard. We know how a 13-year-old in Berlin gets them wrong, which explanation got a thousand students like her past it, and exactly where it sits in her curriculum.

The more you use Knowie, the better it gets at helping you through topics faster. And because millions of students use it every day, it keeps getting smarter about what really works. So students can get it and get ahead.

It takes a lot of prep to be this chill

Knowie is like that older sibling you turn to for help. Who rolls how you roll. Speaks how you speak. Gets you for you.

A peer who sees school for what it actually is. Nothing worth stressing about. Just something to do.

“Unstoppably chill”. That’s the way we wanted Knowie to feel, pulling cues from the world our students actually live in. Distinct. A little imperfect. Unmistakably human. The opposite of AI slop.

If it sucks, we bail

We set out to build a generational brand & define a new category. That starts with a character students recognise & trust. So we turned to Ragged Edge, the studio behind brands like Granola & Wise. Hundreds of iterations later, Knowie had a unique shape & voice.

And students love it. Since launching a month ago, Knowie already helped students answer 150M+ questions, with 92% reporting improved grades.

This bit's hard, but we're doing it anyway

The best support has always gone to the few who could pay for it. We're ending that. A personal companion that gets the very best out of every student, not just the lucky ones. At a scale that has never been possible before.
